The "Reframing Birth and Breastfeeding: Moving Forward" conference program includes general sessions on Friday morning and Saturday afternoon, and two concurrent tracks�a Mother-Friendly Childbirth track and a Breastfeeding & Feminism track�on Friday afternoon and most of Saturday. To help ensure that the meeting space is appropriately assigned, participants are asked to indicate which track they are most interested in attending upon registration. Regardless of track selection, participants are welcome to move between tracks to attend any session of their choosing while at the conference. HUG Your Baby
featuring Jan Tedder, BSN, CS, FNP
� This program is approved by the International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA) for 6 contact hour of continuing education.

HUG Your Baby Training is an innovative approach to helping parents understand their baby's body language in order to prevent and solve problems around a baby's eating, sleeping, crying, and parent-child attachment.
Learn about three newborn Zones (Resting, Ready, & Rebooting Zone) and how to get babies to the best Zone for eating, playing and sleeping.
Identify and respond effectively to a newborn's "SOSs" (Signs of Over-Stimulation) which include body changes in color, movement, and breathing; and behavioral changes: "Spacing Out," Switching Off," & "Shutting Down."
Skill-building enhanced by review of child development literature, sharing of engaging real-life stories, analysis of video clips, demonstration of HUG techniques, group and individual practice and problem solving, role playing, and evaluating case studies.
The Art of Mother-Friendly Labor Support for Nurses

� This program is approved by the International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA) for 7 contact hour of continuing education.
� This offering UVMC-1180-10 has been approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing through the OBN Approver Unit at Upper Valley Medical Center OBN-005-92.
This workshop provides education and training in evidence-based nursing care as documented in the Mother-Friendly Childbirth Initiative. The instructors will cover strategies that the labor and delivery nurse can use to provide mothers with safe, satisfying, and cost-saving care.
CIMS Forum Cancellation Policy
CIMS cannot process conference registrations without proper payment. All fees must be paid in US Dollars, and drawn on a US bank. Cancellation requests must be received in writing no less than 21 days prior to the scheduled event. Refunds, less a $50 administrative fee and Membership fees (if applicable), will be distributed only to individuals who cancel 21 days or more before the scheduled event. No refunds will be distributed for cancellation requests made within 21 days of the scheduled event. Please notify CIMS of any name changes or substitute registrations at least 15 days in advance of the event. Any funds transfer for substitutions must occur between the registrant and their replacement. A $35 fee will be assessed on all returned checks.
